History

Eventmaster was established by Shazad Sheikh AKA Dj Sheikh to support and embed cultural diversity within the arts and cultural sector on a national basis. Through this work they have promoted cultural harmony through organising indoor & outdoor events, festivals, cultural sporting events. Eventmaster has worked with many cultural diverse communities to understand and share each other's cultures and traditions through the arts and cultural sector from large festivals to small community events. Their work has bought together communities from all nationalities to embrace each other cultures here in the UK.

Eventmaster has always believed in working towards achieving integration and cohesion by promoting equality and an understanding of different minority cultures using the arts. They felt the mechanism for achieving this was by developing the presence of local minority ethnic artists at a grassroots level.

Eventmaster has worked closely with local authorities to support cultural diversity by embedding diverse artists to be part of existing festivals and events. They have worked with Arts Development Officers, Equality and Diversity Officers to encourage to support and make the festivals and events accessible to all communities from Walthamstow to Swindon, Essex to Edinburgh.

About Shazad Sheikh

Shazad has played a major role in supporting the Asian music industry by providing established and emerging musicians and singers a platform to showcase their work. He is very influent and highly respected in the Asian music industry and promoting artists and gained credibility in supporting the arts and cultural sector in the UK. He has worked closely with Arts Development officers and Equality and Diversity Officers in local Government and encouraged them to support cultural diversity in the arts and cultural sector through programming and showcasing.

Eventmaster Achievements to date -

• Supporting the Tour de France event in Essex 2014 by providing cultural diverse artists in a small rural village Wethersfield to World music combing sport and arts together.
• Supporting the Cultural Olympiad at Hylands Park in Chelmsford 2012 Torch relay event with encouraging Black and Ethnic minority artists to participate and share their cultural values through a multi-cultural festival celebrating the rich diversity of UK.
